Wordpress Remix.-Wordpress Remix offers users a fully customizable theme with free base templates that allow you to customize this to fit your needs. This is a sure fire bet for most any blogger, whether you have one blog or multiple blogs as they have single and multi-domain licensing options. Wordpress Remix also comes with a very easy to use interface that makes customizing your blog almost effortless.
Thesis -Thesis is used by basically every major news and media company and many other major corporations. That being said, many professional bloggers also use thesis. One of my clients purchased Thesis and has allowed to me to see the user interface and personally, I don't care for it much at all. But that is me personally. The user interface isn't easy to navigate and there was a knowledge for a little html. Still all and all, Thesis was written for the major league bloggers and can still be owned by the multitudes of independant bloggers.
Atahualpa - This is an open source version and can be downloaded for free. That being said, you get what you pay for. Without extensive html knowledge and patience, you will NOT get the theme to ever look the way that you want to. Again, with a little programming, you can make this work for your needs.
I have a customized version of Atahualpa that I have coded to work for a few of my clients that is completely automated and works just as easily as the big boys listed above, but for only a fraction of the cost. In fact, for only $47 you can have a multi-domain version for all of your blogs!!! That is less than a single license of the either of the themes listed above.
