    • I would like to purchase one or two used Volvo Penta fresh water cooled AQ 131 engines. I beleive my engines have about had it. They are basically rusted beyond repair and one has spun a bearing and the piston is hitting the head. I would like to know any resources to buy one used but complete, although I do have parts from the old ones that will still work. I am trying to work with a recession budget so I don’t want to spend a fortune, but it sure would be nice to get back on the water this summer. I hate to see the boat waste away. If there are any alternative engines that will fit I would be pleased to put them in. The boat is a 1986 Bayliner Contessa 2850. The engine specification is 4 cylinder 120hp 2.3L. I believe these engines were used from 1985 -1989.

    Your Video Rocks! I have really enjoyed your DVD, but better than that, my boys, Zachary (13) & Joshua (7), watched it with me last week. The illustrations made a fantastic tutorial for my kids to retain. They were on full alert as we motored across the bay. Your lessons made for a more “engaged” fishing team aboard my boat.
